Mike Woodsen is back!!

Well talk about a great week for Knicks fans. First, we hire Tom Thibodeau a proven coach who has turned teams around and instilled championship level defensive philosophies at every place he’s been. Then a beautiful bit of news was dropped right next to it:      Mike Woodsen who was coach when the Knicks last made the playoffs will be returning as an assistant coach along Tom Thibodeau for the 2020-2021 season. For Knicks fans everywhere, this is great news!

Mike Woodsen became the head coach of the New York Knicks on May 25, 2012 and immediately made an impact. He coached the Knicks to an 18-6 record to end the season. From there, hungry Knicks fans everywhere were blessed with an amazing 2012-2013 run! There were magic moments left and right there. The Knicks won their first playoff series since 2000!

Although some nagging injuries and a plus sized Indiana Pacers team ended the season, it was over all a great run. (PS Knicks fans know we would have been a great matchup for Miami…beat them 3 out of 4 times. Melo was magic in those games…..OOOOOOO the potential, but I digress 😊 ) Also cool that Mike Woodsen was drafted by the Knicks so great to keep it in the family!!! Cheers to the potential for greatness for a team longing for success!
