Preseason comeback in effect!!!
Holy Moly we are three games into the preseason and baby we got some things to be excited about!!
First, how about that heart and soul of this team tonight!?!? We were down 18 and everything was not going right. Folks started questioning everything the knicks did and hit that guide button every now and then for alternate options buuuut…2020 Knicks are a different breed.
The defensive effort out there smells different to the viewer. Coach Tibs is holding these guys accountable on the defensive end and it’s showing. Shots were not going in at first and it got ugly!! Lots of things to be happy about after this game. The constants are certainly RJ being PROACTIVE on offense and Obi Toppin skying high and finishing with authority!!!! In addition to these here are a couple that stand out after the 3rd game of the preseason
- OKAAAy Kevin Knox!!!! – We knew this guy was an athlete but it’s clear he has been working on the J!!!! He hit some big threes in the 4th quarter and was playing great talent.
- Mitch Robinson shining bright – We know he is talented but tonight he stepped it up big when the team needed him most. Great boxing out and rebounding tonight
- Quickley may QUICKLY get more minutes. The Knicks are going to make teams wish they would have taken this guy Immanuel Quickley earlier. There is something to be said when a guy goes from a bench role to SEC player of the year. He is making big plays out on the court. Love his effort and poise. The more minutes he is getting this preseason he is making a case for a bigger role in the rotation
- Denis Smith JR was resilient – The first half was not easy for our boys especially Denis smith JR. Shots were not going in and turnovers were happening left and right. Props to Dennis for hanging in there. He calmed down in the first half and started making plays!!
