Welcome Back NYK!!

Cheers, Greetings and Salutations Knicks fans!

Last time we checked in; we were ending the season on a sad but hopeful note!!!! Our boys fell short against Atlanta but overall EXCEEDED expectations biiig time! As amazing as it is, the Knicks first preseason game is tonight at 7:30 pm against the Indiana Pacers!

What a summer it’s been for the Knicks. The Knicks built on the magic of last year and made some POWERFUL moves to fortify the roster as follows:

  • Resigned several key pieces from the prior season who were up for free agency (Julius Randle, Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Taj Gibson.
  • Showed love to players who lead the resurgence to relevance babybaaaaby!!
  • Signed Kemba Walker
    • Kemba is a local guy who stared at Rice High School and let University of Connecticut to an NBA championship. His career averages include 19.9 ppg and 5.4 assists a game. The guy has style on the court and makes plenty of key plays when the games are on the line. See highlights
  • Signed Evan Fournier
    • Fournier is coming of a strong 2020-2021 campaign where he averaged 17.1points on 41.3% from 3-point range. He is a versatile player who does a great job leveraging his size to get to the bucket. Great value overall just don’t Google the brotherman by his last name 😊
  • Picked up some great players in the draft
    • Quentin Grimes – A great shooter and defender hailing from University of Houston. Kid can BAAALL. Check out these highlights
    • Miles McBride – A gritty tough nosed defender. This guy will fit right into Coach Tibs system and has been raising eyebrows during summer league.
    • Jericho Sims – They are calling him one of the best athletes on the team. Remember he was SECOND ROUND PICK. He’s been raising eyebrows left and right this offseason!!

I’d like to give a shoutout to our front office who is doing their thing. They’ve been patient amidst the MANY MANY rumors and made some sensible deals.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!
